The Courthouse offers bed and breakfast accommodation in the village of Betws-y-Coed in the Snowdonia National Park in North Wales. It is set in a peaceful riverside location on the banks of the River Conwy, just a stones throw from the centre of Betws-y-Coed. There are gardens next to the river in which you can relax, and there is a private car park.

This is an ideal holiday or short break location from which to explore all that Snowdonia and the rest of North Wales has to offer.

There are National Trust properties at Bodnant Garden, Plas Newydd and Penrhyn Castle, and many historic sites including the castles at Conwy, Caernarfon and Dolwyddelan, and the historic walled town of Conwy.

The area is well known for its steam railways, with the Ffestiniog Railway, Snowdon Mountain Railway, and Welsh Highland Railway all within easy reach. A popular local attraction is the Italianate village of Portmeirion.

The area around Betws-y-Coed is ideal for those who enjoy walking. There are some stunning walks in the Gwydir Forest which surrounds the village taking in forest, woods, valleys, rivers and waterfalls.

The high peaks of Snowdonia including Snowdon and the Carneddau are close by for those who enjoy a more rugged terrain. Mountain biking and horse riding is also well catered for in this area of Snowdonia.

For guests who like to relax, this is an excellent base for exploring the stunning scenery of Snowdonia and the rest of North Wales. Enjoy the beautiful lakes and mountains of Snowdonia, or the coastline and beaches of the Lleyn Peninsula and Anglesey.

Betws-y-Coed has a wide range of places to eat in the evening including pubs, restaurants and cafés. The village also has a good selection of shops including craft/gift shops, and outdoor shops with well known names like Hawkshead, Cotswold Outdoor and Stewart Cunningham - there are always bargains to be had!
