The villages of Maentwrog and Gellilydan have a very good bus service into Porthmadog, Bangor, Dolgellau, Blaenau Ffestiniog, Harlech, Barmouth and Aberystwyth.

A Steam Train (Ffestiniog Railway) can be boarded at Tan y Bwlch Station, a five minute drive away from Fron Deg, A spectacular journey through countryside and Mountains to Blaenau Ffestiniog or Porthmadog. Soon you will be able to travel all the way to Caernarfon on this Steam Train.

The Bryn Arms Public House is a short stroll from Fron Deg and a 5 minute drive away (or 20 minute walk) is the Grapes Hotel, Oakley Arms Hotel and Mo's Kitchen all serving delicious food and Ales.

Directions

Turn off the A470 sign posted Maentwrog and Harlech Castle. Pass the Grapes Hotel and take the first turning left just before the telephone kiosk. Carry on up the hill for approximately one mile and Fron Deg Bed & Breakfast can be found on the right hand side.
